Labour has a mission to reform prevention, policing and the criminal justice system. This is a mission our Labour candidate for PCC Sarah Taylor for Norfolk shares. It is no good chasing short term solutions for the sake of a headline. Instead, Sarah will focus on:🔹Prevention of crimes in the first place, working with organisations and public services to provide stronger and earlier interventions.🔹Safer streets will include policing rooted in our communities with more community engagement with our neighbourhood police.🔹Encouraging the use of technologies to speed up detection, focusing on best practice, and taking a strategic and creative approach to solving crimes. More than ever, we need change. We need better approaches to protect and safeguard our communities. And we need trust and confidence in our police.Visit www.sarahtaylornorfolk.com/restoring-trust-confidence to find out more. See MoreSee Less

Thousands of women and girls experience violence in their homes, workplaces and streets across the county every year. National policing issues have drastically undermined women’s trust in our Police force, as set out in the findings of the Angiolini Inquiry.Find out more about your Labour and Cooperative candidate Sarah Taylor for Norfolk for Police and Crime Commissioner at www.sarahtaylornorfolk.com See MoreSee Less

For road safety, Sarah would adopt the Safe System approach. Known as Vision Zero, this would prioritise the elimination of deaths and serious injuries on our roads. By working with Norfolk County Council as local highway authority, National Highways, and other organisations working in the transport sector, I will look for ways of making walking and cycling safer, reducing the numbers of fatal or serious injury crashes on our rural roads, and ensure there is good and continuous support for families bereaved because of road deaths.Find out more about Sarah Taylor for Norfolk‘s priorities at www.sarahtaylornorfolk.com/safer-streets See MoreSee Less
